From: Gonzalez Trenado Patricia, Manager.

Subject: Meeting about the Production Manager.

Date: 9th April.

Background Problem:As you know, in the Production Department has been many problems; for example the productivity has fallen, the workers have been unhappy and the relationships haven´t been the best.

Discussion:In the meeting, the directors were talking about these problems, and each one give your point of view .

  • The Sales Manager suggested: give a pay increase to all the workers, because the workers would be happier than now and they could work better.
  • The Marketing Manager suggested: reduce the level at which workers can earn a productivity bonus, because she thought that was a good solution, to motivate to the workers.
  • I suggested that we appoint a new Production Manager, because the relationships improve and the workers could work better, ´cause they think that the Production Manager isn´t strong .
  • The Accountant Manager suggested cut labour costs for example not recruiting any new workers when people leave, because the company don´t have enough money.

Finally we decided that the best option was appoint a new Production Manager, because the other manager hasn´t good relationships with the workers. Instead the workers will see a change, and they think that are important for our factory, could work happy and the productivity and saless surely will increase.If you have any problems or questions about the new decision, please see me.
